The Giant Satellite Dish

After reaching the summit of the theater Ben and I were inspired to look for more buildings to roof and we had both found our dream roof. We didn't know much about the building other than the fact that we saw a huge satellite dish on it and we knew we wanted to get up there. One afternoon we rode by and began to look for any back entrances. We went on a little side quest when we were distracted by a mechanical room that looked open and promising. I really dig the whole industrial look. Most of this appeared a lot eerier without the flash and you can only imagine the noises these machines were making.

The stairs led to a normal building so we abandoned the quest and moved onto the building we knew had the dish. Finding no open side entrances we had to go through the main building, but to spruce things up we stopped by all the mechanical rooms looking for anything of interest and tagging any open classrooms with "The Dog Faced Horse Man Strikes Again!" on their boards.

Industrial-size fire extinguisher alright right!

It wasn't until we had reached the 8th floor (the elevator only went to 7, the 8th was concealed by a secret stairwell) that we found what we were looking for. There was a mechanical room and a lab. The mechanical room was locked, but the lab wasn't. So we snuck into this lab that looked post-apacolyptic. Something you'd expect zombies to come out at you from. But we pushed on, surveyed the scene, and found a ladder leading to a hatch.

It's hard to describe the immense satisfaction that comes with the hatch opening and the feeling of all that light flooding into the room. You should try it sometime.

We made it!

And then we explored some more, played around in the apocalyptic lab and busted out of there unnoticed.
